Thor Ganchero is an island boy from Anda, Pangasinan, mountain-grown in Baguio City, and now navigating the creative chaos of Makati. His love for music began in a small church choir, later earning him a full scholarship from Grade 4 through college. A cum laude graduate of Communication from Saint Louis University–Baguio, Thor honed his artistry through the SLU Glee Club and the Center for Culture and the Arts.

During the pandemic, he explored songwriting and gained recognition on Ogie Alcasid’s The OPM Night, where his original piece “Everyone’s Smile” topped the OPM charts. He later joined the award-winning pop a cappella group The Astrafellas, performing on national television (GMA’s The Voice Generations, It’s Showtime, and Cayetani in Action with Boy Abunda) and international stages (HongKong, Thailand, Singapore, and Barcelona Spain), and even had the chance to share the stage with the renowned vocal ensemble PINOPELA.

Thor’s creative pursuits span graphic design, photography and video, content strategy, and theater. His stage journey began with school productions (SLU Center for Culture and the Arts) and workshops (PETA), with roles in Epiko (SLU-CCA,2019), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (SLU-CCA, 2019) where he played the titular role, and Deadline: A Musical Revue (CMT-PETA, 2024). In 2025, he made his professional theater debut in Pilato by The Corner Studio (2025), followed by his first male lead role as Tenyong in Parang Aray (CMT PROD-PETA, 2025). That same year, he portrayed “Jin” in Do Not Enter (2025), a straight play under UP Dulaang Laboratoryo.

Si Faust (Arete, 2025) marks Thor’s second professional musical and his first mainstream production since officially starting his theater journey in October 2024. Beyond the stage, he currently juggles his passion for theater with his work as a Content Experience Strategist at RMN Marketing and Media Ventures, one of the largest radio networks in the Philippines—proof that his love for storytelling thrives both in the spotlight and behind the brand.
