Nelsito Gomez has essayed leading and supporting roles for Plays, Musicals, TV, and Film. Popularly known for his role, Santy, in the iwanttv hit “Call Me Tita”. His stage performances have earned him special mentions including:(Inquirer) Gibbs Cadiz’s BRAVO! Best of Philippines Theatre Best Actor in a Play for Alfonso Ossorio in Dulaang UP’s Angry Christ. Aliw Award Nomination for Best Actor in a Play for Twinbill’s My Name Is Asher Lev. Broadwayworld Philippines Best Actor and Supporting Actor in a play for Angry Christ and Angels In America respectively. His directing credits include the streaming production of Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons by Sam Steiner (CAST and Menez Media). Several onlines performances for MINTeatro and Ana Valdez Lim’s Theater Space. Associate Director for Joseph The Dreamer (Trumpets). Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Beautiful The Carole King Musical (Atlantis Theatricals). In 2018, with several of his peers; he founded a non-profit theatre company called C.A.S.T. (Company of Actors in Streamlined Theatre) and is one of the resident directors for their annual staged reading festival. When not acting or directing, Nelsito teaches Theatre Arts in MINT College.
