Luis Marcelo is probably best known as Crutchie in the Gawad Buhay Award-winning cast of Disney's Newsies for 9 Works Theatrical. He also created the role of Prince Diego for Repertory Philippines’ The Quest for the Adarna. He was most recently seen as Chip Tolentino in The Sandbox Collective’s revival of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and as Paqui in Rep’s Jepoy and the Magic Circle.

Previously, he was in Arsenic and Old Lace as Officer Brophy and in Hair (Rep), Side Show, Waitress (Atlantis Theatrical), and Eto Na! Musikal nAPO! (9 Works). Years back, he played Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors for the Ateneo Blue Repertory.

He has been training with and performing for The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab for more than a decade, under the guidance of Mrs. Emmy Cayabyab. When he’s not onstage, he’s the business manager (and a sometime performer) of Galaw.Co Dance Theater and an aspiring chef.
