Jay, being considered as one of the few counter tenors in the Philippines, never predicted that one day the stage would be his sanctuary. He is currently being trained under the tutelage of Camille Lopez Molina, soprano and Pablo Molina, tenor and a member of the VIVA VOCE VOICE LAB. Some of his works include REPERTORY PHILIPPINES’ Aladdin Jr., Secret Garden, Hair and The Quest for the Adarna, PHILIPPINE OPERA COMPANY’S Magic Flute and La Boheme, VIVA VOCE’S L’elisir D’ Amore and Carmina Burana, The Sandbox Collective and Nine Works Theatricals’ Himala: Isang Musikal 2018/2019, and TREEHOUSE PRODUCTIONS’ Sons of Egypt, Russian Princess, Ye Xien, Anabelle Lee and Perseus. He has widened his horizon by venturing in the indie film industry where he was fortunate to be part of award winning director Loy Arcenas’ film REQUIEME as part of the ensemble and Carlo Obispo’s film 123. He has also produced two of his solo recitals called With Love, Jay in 2020 and La Voce D’ Una Sirena in 2021.
