Joshua Tayco is a professional theater actor and former scholar of Tanghalang Pilipino, the resident theater company of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

His notable theater works include:

"Ang Paguusig" directed by Dennis Marasigan, which he was nominated for Gawad Buhay's Best Featured Performer (2017) for the role of Mr. John Hale, "Dekada '70" the Musical directed by Pat Valera (2020), "Manila Notes" written and directed by Oriza Hirata (2018), Virgin Labfest XI's "Kublihan" directed by Guelan Luarca (2015), Virgin Labfest XII's "Si Maria Isabella at ang Guryon ng mga Tala" directed by Ed Lacson Jr. (2016), Virgin Labfest XIV's "Ang Inyong Mga Anak Si Harold at Napoleon" directed by Ricardo Magno (2018), and Virgin Labfest XV's "A Family Reunion" directed by Ian Segarra (2019).

He was also featured in Ben&Ben's "Maybe the Night" music video and a commercial for Chowking for "Wow Sabaw".

​

Aside from acting, he has also explored directing, most recently in Virgin Labfest XX as the director of "The Boy-Boy and Friends Channel" starring Nicco Manalo, Anthony Falcon, Jerald Napoles, Norbs Portales, and Gabo Tolentino.

Prior to this, he has also created his own performances through devising– a process he enjoys because of its collaborative energy.

​

He also loves creating songs, sketches, and stories, oftentimes improvising it from things he sees or hears.
